Could the bridge institution also be a simple holding company instead of an authorised institution (authorised in accordance with Directive 2013/36/EU or Directive 2014/65/EU, as applicable)? Article 40 (1) (a) of Directive 2014/59/EU (BRRD) states that Member States shall ensure that resolution authorities may transfer the shares of an institution under resolution to the bridge bank.
