We seek clarification on Articles 40(2) and 42(2) of Directive 2014/59/EU (BRRD). Can a bridge institution or an asset management tool be fully privately owned? According to Articles 40(2) and 42(2) of the BRRD, a bridge institution or asset management vehicle shall be “wholly or partially owned by one or more public authorities […]”.
