Council Decision 82/402/EEC establishes a four-year multiannual research and development programme (1982–1985) in the raw materials sector to enhance the Community's self-supply potential and technological innovation. The programme allocates 54 million ECU across four primary sub-programmes: metals and mineral substances, wood as a renewable resource, recycling of non-ferrous metals, and substitution and materials technologies. Implementation is managed by the Commission through indirect and coordination actions, supported by advisory committees and provisions for international cooperation with third countries.AI
