European Commission 30 January 2008, Commission Regulation (EC) No 271/2008 of 30 January 2008 amending Regulation (EC) No 794/2004 implementing Council Regulation (EC) No 659/1999 laying down detailed rules for the application of Article 93 of the EC Treaty
Also known as
Commission Regulation (EC) No 271/2008 of 30 January 2008 amends Regulation (EC) No 794/2004 implementing Council Regulation (EC) No 659/1999 to modernise and streamline State aid notification procedures within the European Community. Key provisions mandate, from 1 July 2008, the exclusive use of the SANI web application for State aid notifications and the PKI secured e-mail system for all related correspondence, subject to limited exceptions by mutual agreement, and require Member States to reference the Commission-allocated State aid identification number in each grant of aid to a final beneficiary. The Regulation further revises the methodology for calculating recovery interest rates on unlawful aid, updates notification forms to include competition and trade impact assessments, introduces cumulation and outstanding recovery order commitments, and replaces supplementary notification forms for research, development, innovation, and risk capital aid in line with current Community frameworks.AI
