European Central Bank 19 December 2014, Guideline (EU) 2015/510 of the European Central Bank of 19 December 2014 on the implementation of the Eurosystem monetary policy framework (recast) (ECB/2014/60)

Also known as

Guideline (EU) 2015/510 of the European Central Bank of 19 December 2014 (ECB/2014/60) is a recast instrument establishing uniform rules for the implementation of the single monetary policy by the Eurosystem throughout the euro area, replacing Guideline ECB/2011/14. The Guideline comprehensively governs the tools, instruments, and procedures for Eurosystem monetary policy operations, including open market operations (main refinancing operations, longer-term refinancing operations, fine-tuning operations, and structural operations), standing facilities (marginal lending facility and deposit facility), eligible counterparty criteria, and the single framework for eligible collateral assets covering both marketable and non-marketable assets subject to the Eurosystem Credit Assessment Framework. National central banks are required to implement the Guideline's provisions through contractual or regulatory arrangements with counterparties, and the ECB retains authority to impose sanctions and discretionary measures in the event of counterparty non-compliance.AI
