Also known as
Council Directive (EU) 2015/652 establishes harmonized methods for calculating and reporting the life cycle greenhouse gas intensity of fuels and energy used in road transport and non-road mobile machinery. The Directive mandates specific calculation formulas, including provisions for upstream emission reductions (UERs) and default values for fossil fuels, to ensure accurate monitoring of supplier obligations under Directive 98/70/EC. Member States are required to implement these reporting requirements and enforcement penalties by 21 April 2017 to facilitate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions across the Union.AI
