Also known as
Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2017/205 of 3 February 2017 amends the Annex to Implementing Decision 2014/709/EU, which establishes animal health control measures relating to African swine fever (ASF) in certain Member States, by replacing the Annex in its entirety. The amendment is prompted by a January 2017 ASF outbreak in domestic pigs in the novads (district) of Krimuldas, Latvia, previously listed in Part II of the Annex, necessitating its reclassification to Part III to reflect the elevated epidemiological risk level. The legal bases are Article 9(4) of Council Directive 89/662/EEC, Article 10(4) of Council Directive 90/425/EEC, and Article 4(3) of Council Directive 2002/99/EC, and the Decision is addressed to all Member States.AI
