Also known as
Regulation (EU) 2018/1724 establishes a single digital gateway ('Your Europe') to provide citizens and businesses with online access to information, procedures, and assistance and problem-solving services relating to the exercise of internal market rights under Union and national law. Key provisions require Member States to ensure non-discriminatory cross-border access to online procedures, mandate full digitalisation of the procedures listed in Annex II by 12 December 2023, and introduce a technical system for the automated cross-border exchange of evidence based on the 'once-only' principle, subject to strict data protection requirements under Regulations (EU) 2016/679 and (EU) 2018/1725. Governance is shared between the Commission, which manages the common user interface and central ICT infrastructure, and Member States, which appoint national coordinators and are responsible for national webpages and procedures, with compliance monitored through a gateway coordination group.AI
