Also known as
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/815 establishes regulatory technical standards for a single electronic reporting format (ESEF) to enhance the transparency and comparability of annual financial reports issued by entities on EU regulated markets. The regulation mandates the use of eXtensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) for entire reports and requires eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) tagging for IFRS consolidated financial statements using a core taxonomy based on the IFRS Taxonomy. These requirements apply to annual financial reports for financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2020, with specific block tagging for notes becoming mandatory for years beginning on or after 1 January 2022.AI
