European Commission 28 June 2019, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2035 of 28 June 2019 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards rules for establishments keeping terrestrial animals and hatcheries, and the traceability of certain kept terrestrial animals and hatching eggs (Text with EEA relevance)

Also known as

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2035 supplements Regulation (EU) 2016/429 (the Animal Health Law) by establishing detailed rules for the registration and approval of establishments keeping terrestrial animals and hatcheries, including biosecurity, surveillance, facilities, personnel, and competent authority supervision requirements for assembly centres, hatcheries, control posts, quarantine establishments, and confined establishments. The Regulation lays down traceability requirements—comprising means of identification, movement and identification documents, and computer database obligations—for kept bovine, ovine, caprine, porcine, equine, camelid, cervid, canine, feline, mustelid, captive bird, and circus animal species, as well as for hatching eggs. It applies from 21 April 2021, repealing a series of prior Commission acts, and provides transitional measures to ensure continuity for operators and animals already identified or registered under predecessor legislation.AI
