Council Decision (CFSP) 2022/329 of 25 February 2022 amends Decision 2014/145/CFSP to expand the criteria for designation of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures in response to Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, including the recognition of the non-government-controlled areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and the subsequent armed attack on Ukraine commencing 24 February 2022. The amended criteria extend travel bans (Article 1) and asset freezes (Article 2) to cover persons and entities supporting, materially or financially benefitting from, or providing a substantial source of revenue to the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as natural or legal persons associated with already-listed persons or entities. The Decision entered into force upon publication in the Official Journal of the European Union on 25 February 2022.AI
