Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/137 of 10 October 2022 amends Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 1893/2006 by replacing the statistical classification of economic activities (NACE Rev. 2) with an updated version (NACE Rev. 2.1), in order to align the Union classification with ISIC Revision 5 and to reflect structural, technological, and economic developments including digitalisation and environmental activities. The Regulation applies generally to data transmissions to Eurostat from reference periods beginning 1 January 2025, with staggered derogations for specific sectoral statistical regulations extending application dates between 2026 and 2031. The updated classification is directly applicable in all Member States and entered into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.AI
