Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1827 of 23 July 2026 amends Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1706 in response to three additional outbreaks of infection with peste des petits ruminants virus (PPR) in ovine and caprine establishments in the Croatian counties of Viroviticko-Podravska and Bjelovarska-Bilogorska, notified by Croatia after the adoption of the original Decision. The amendment replaces the Annexes to Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1706 to update the delineation and duration of protection zones (applicable until 26 August 2026), surveillance zones (applicable until 13 September 2026), and further restricted zones at Union level covering six Croatian counties (applicable until 13 September 2026), with a subsequent surveillance period running from 14 September to 13 October 2026. The legal basis is Article 259(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/429 (Animal Health Law), supplemented by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/687, and the Decision is addressed solely to the Republic of Croatia.AI
