Council Implementing Decision (CFSP) 2026/1850 of 24 July 2026 amends the Annex to Decision 2011/235/CFSP by adding six persons to the list of individuals subject to restrictive measures in view of the human rights situation in Iran, acting under Article 31(2) TEU and Article 3(1) of Decision 2011/235/CFSP. Five of the newly listed persons are Iranian judges—serving at various Revolutionary Courts and criminal courts—found responsible for serious human rights violations through the imposition of death sentences, imprisonment, flogging, and other punishments in proceedings marked by due process violations targeting protesters, political dissidents, religious minorities, and human rights defenders. The sixth listed person, Nima Salehi, is an Iranian hacker and co-founder of the cyber group 'Ashiyane,' linked to the Iranian regime and found responsible for serious human rights violations through cyber-attacks and assistance in the regime's crackdown on opposition.AI
