Also known as

Council Regulation (EU) 2026/1336 amends Regulation (EU) No 269/2014 to introduce a new paragraph 5l in Article 6b, establishing two temporary derogations from the asset freeze and prohibition on making funds or economic resources available to the entity listed under entry number 692 in Annex I. The first derogation permits competent authorities of Member States to authorise transactions strictly necessary for the wind-down of operations, contracts, or agreements concluded before 23 April 2026, subject to completion by 31 December 2026; the second permits industry purchases of critical components manufactured by that entity, with corresponding payments to be completed by 16 March 2027. Both derogations are conditioned on the competent authority's determination of strict necessity and aim to facilitate supply chain diversification by Union operators towards alternative sources of supply.AI
