Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1737 of 16 July 2026 grants a Union authorisation (No. EU-0036217-0000) to Thonhauser GmbH for the biocidal product family 'BPF THO TM Desana' (product-type 4: food and feed area) pursuant to Article 44(5) of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012, valid from 6 August 2026 until 31 July 2036. The authorised family contains active chlorine released from sodium hypochlorite as the active substance and is formulated as a soluble concentrate for hard surface disinfection via cleaning-in-place (CIP) methods in food processing, production, and consumption areas, subject to the summary of product characteristics set out in the Annex. The Annex establishes three meta SPCs covering professional and industrial users, specifying composition ranges, hazard and precautionary statements, application rates, personal protective equipment requirements, and storage conditions, including a requirement to ensure chlorate concentrations in food do not exceed maximum residue levels under Regulation (EU) 2020/749.AI
