Also known as
Council Regulation (EU) 2026/1805 of 16 July 2026 amends Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 to postpone the application of the automatic price cap adjustment mechanism for Russian crude oil established under Decision (CFSP) 2025/1495, in order to allow the Council additional time to examine and adopt any necessary amendments in light of market developments. The key provision inserts paragraph 11a into Article 3n of Regulation (EU) No 833/2014, specifying that the Commission's publication of the average market price notice—covering the 22-week period from 15 January to 17 June 2026—shall occur on 23 July 2026, with the consequential amendment of Annex XXVIII applying from 15 August 2026. The existing price cap remains in force until the new price cap takes effect, and the Regulation enters into force the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.AI
