Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1840 initiates a circumvention investigation under Article 13(3) of Regulation (EU) 2016/1036 concerning anti-dumping measures imposed by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2333 on hardwood plywood originating in the People's Republic of China, targeting imports of slightly modified plywood with outer plies of coniferous wood, bamboo, or engineered mixed-wood veneers (TARIC codes 4412 10 00 10, 4412 10 00 30, 4412 39 00 20, 4412 39 00 30) alleged to evade existing duties by substituting face veneers. Pursuant to Article 14(5) of the basic Regulation, such imports are made subject to mandatory customs registration effective from the date of entry into force, with registration expiring after nine months. Interested parties must make themselves known within 15 days of entry into force and submit questionnaire replies, exemption requests, or other information within 37 days of publication; the investigation must be concluded within nine months of entry into force.AI
