European Commission 19 October 2021, COMMUNICATION FROM THE COMMISSION TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT, THE COUNCIL, THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COMMITTEE AND THE COMMITTEE OF THE REGIONS Commission work programme 2022 Making Europe stronger together
Also known as
The European Commission's Work Programme 2022 (COM(2021) 645 final), adopted on 19 October 2021, sets out the Commission's legislative and non-legislative agenda across six headline ambitions: the European Green Deal, a Europe fit for the digital age, an economy that works for people, a stronger Europe in the world, promoting the European way of life, and a new push for European democracy. Key instruments include Annex I (new initiatives, including the European Chips Act, European Cyber Resilience Act, and European Media Freedom Act), Annex II (REFIT simplification initiatives), Annex III (priority pending proposals requiring swift agreement by the European Parliament and Council), and Annex IV (withdrawals of obsolete proposals). The Programme also commits to full deployment of the 'one in, one out' regulatory burden reduction approach and forms the basis for a Joint Declaration on legislative priorities to be agreed with the co-legislators pursuant to the Interinstitutional Agreement on Better Law-Making (OJ L 123, 12.5.2016).AI
