Commission Staff Working Document SWD(2023) 306 sets out the methodology, data sources and observed trends for a revised EU circular-economy monitoring framework accompanying COM(2023) 306. The framework comprises 11 indicators covering production and consumption, waste management, secondary raw materials, competitiveness and innovation, and global sustainability and resilience, including material footprint, recycling, circular material use, climate-related emissions and material import dependency. Eurostat is to disseminate and regularly update the framework, while certain indicators, notably green public procurement and food waste, remain under development or subject to improved data collection.AI
