This proposal for a Council Decision establishes the European Union's position for the Energy Community Ministerial Council regarding the mutual recognition of guarantees of origin (GOs) for renewable electricity between EU Member States and the nine non-EU Contracting Parties. Based on Article 194(2) and Article 218(9) TFEU, the act seeks to extend the EU system of mutual recognition to the Energy Community to foster a single regulatory space for network energy.
