Background The European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) established under Regulation (EU) 2014/508 was the EU's funding instrument for maritime and fisheries policies from 2014-2020. It aimed to support the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) and the Integrated Maritime Policy (IMP), while also contributing to the Europe 2020 strategy.
