OPINION OF MR ADVOCATE GENERAL WARNER DELIVERED ON 11 DECEMBER 1980 My Lords, This case comes before the Court by way of a reference for a preliminary ruling by the Court of Appeal of England and Wales. It raises questions as to the scope and effect, in relation to sex discrimination in pension schemes, of Article 119 of the EEC Treaty and of certain Council directives.
