OPINION OF ADVOCATE GENERAL SIR GORDON SLYNN DELIVERED ON 18 NOVEMBER 1982 My Lords, The applicant in this case is a former official of the Council. Between 10 January 1977 and 11 January 1980 he was on sick leave for some 390 days. In consequence, the Council referred his case to the Invalidity Committee, pursuant to the last sentence of Article 59 (1) of the Staff Regulations.
