OPINION OF ADVOCATE GENERAL SIR GORDON SLYNN delivered on 1 July 1987 My Lords, This case arises out of an accident which occurred in France on 22 August 1973, when Mr Marcel Demouche was injured by a motor car which was registered in the Federal Republic of Germany. Its owner was insured with a German insurance company, Allianz.
