The case pending before the Arbeitsgericht (Labour Court) Loerrach, (Germany), brought by Vittorio Paletta, his wife and their children, against their employer, Brennet AG, raises the problem of the applicability of Article 18(1) and (5) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 574/72, (1) as
