OPINION OF ADVOCATE GENERAL ELMER delivered on 28 March 1996 ( *1 ) 1. In this case the Cour d'Appel (Court of Appeal), Metz, France, has referred to the Court for a preliminary ruling a question concerning the interpretation of Article 30 of the EC Treaty in relation to national rules regulating the use of the designation ‘model year’ in connection with the sale of motor vehicles.
