Opinion of the Advocate-General Opinion of the Advocate-General I – Introduction 1. This case concerns the interpretation of Council Directive 75/442/EEC of 15 July 1975 on waste, (2) as amended by Council Directive 91/156/EEC of 18 March 1991, (3) (‘the framework waste directive’) with respect to fuel which leaked from a storage tank and contaminated the surrounding soil.
