Opinion of the Advocate-General Opinion of the Advocate-General 1. The present case essentially puts in issue the legality of a prohibition, due to take effect in 2007, on the use in Italy of the grape variety names ‘Tocai friulano’ and its synonym ‘Tocai italico’ (2) on wine labels.
