WRITTEN QUESTION No 1020/79 by Mr Dankert to the Commission of the European Communities (9 November 1979) Subject: Rearing of calves What are the percentage figures for calves reared on farms and calves reared in battery units in the various Community countries? Is it possible to give a rough indication of the average production costs for calves reared by each of these two methods?
