WRITTEN QUESTION No 1072/79 by Mr Gendebien to the Commission of the European Communities (12 November 1979) Subject: Exemption from the use of the tachograph in Ireland I have learnt from the Irish press that the Commission has authorized the Dublin Government to exempt vehicles of the Irish Republic from the requirement to be fitted with tachographs until 1981.
