WRITTEN QUESTION No 577/81 by Mr Diana to the Commission of the European Communities (6 July 1981) Subject: Common policy towards the dollar Given that — changes in the exchange rate of the dollar have immediate consequences for the economies of the Member States, especially those which commonly pay for their imports in dollars; — these consequences detract from the effectiveness of the policies
