WRITTEN QUESTION E-1029/95 by Undine-Uta Bloch von Blottnitz (V) Subject: Import licence for European songbirds bred in Asia In a number of recent cases in Germany, songbirds have been confiscated from dealers by the police . The birds were of Asian origin but belonged to European species which are protected in the EU.
