The Commission confirms that the contract was awarded following a rigorous tendering procedure which was carried out in strict accordance with Council Directive 92/50/EEC of 18 June 1992 relating to the coordination of procedures for the award of public service contracts (1), as the Spokesman and Director General for Press and Communication has affirmed.
