Question for written answer E-000557/12 to the Commission Sergio Berlato (PPE) (25 January 2012) Subject: Assessing the impact of ratings agencies on the markets Last week the ratings agency Standard & Poor’s downgraded several AAA-rated European countries and did the same thing to the European Financial Stability Fund (EFSF), i.e. the state rescue fund.
