Question for written answer E-002256/12 to the Commission Angelika Werthmann (NI) (28 February 2012) Subject: Aviation emissions Non-EU countries are intensifying the fight against plans by the European Commission to include all airlines in its emissions trading scheme. Thus, airlines have to buy pollution rights for the CO2 emissions of their aircraft if they want to take off and land in Europe.
