Question for written answer E-002483/12 to the Commission Niki Tzavela (EFD) (5 March 2012) Subject: Political detainees in Bahrain Human Rights Watch (HRW) has today requested the release of political detainees in Bahrain, claiming that the trials of hundreds of protestors, mainly Shi’ites, for taking part in last year’s movement to reform the system were unfair.
