Question for written answer E-003306/12 to the Commission Auke Zijlstra (NI) (28 March 2012) Subject: Border controls Article 21 of Regulation (EC) No 562/2006, on establishing a Community Code on the rules governing the movement of persons across borders, provides that the abolition of border control at internal borders does not affect the exercise of police powers by the competent authorities
