Question for written answer E-004244/12 to the Commission John Stuart Agnew (EFD) (24 April 2012) Subject: Consumer pricing in the Netherlands In the Netherlands it is apparently common practice to price goods to the consumer at a sum ending in 99 or 49 cents, but to require the customer to pay the ‘extra’ cent even when the customer offers the exact sum.
