Question for written answer E-005343/12 to the Commission Emer Costello (S&D) (29 May 2012) Subject: Cross-contamination of food by allergens Concerns have been expressed to me by coeliacs about the issue of cross-contamination of food by allergens. It is my understanding that, under existing EU rules, food producers must state on the label if their products contain food allergens.
