Question for written answer E-006155/12 to the Commission Mara Bizzotto (EFD) (21 June 2012) Subject: Implementation of Directive 2009/48/EC Directive 2009/48/EC on the safety of toys was transposed into Italian law through Legislative Decree No 54 of 11 April 2011. The directive provides that toys must comply with essential safety requirements before being introduced onto the EU market.
