Question for written answer E-006295/12 to the Commission Ulrike Rodust (S&D) (26 June 2012) Subject: The fate of fish caught illegally Article 89 of the Fisheries Control Regulation provides that penalties for illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing should be calculated in such a way as to ‘deprive those responsible of the economic benefit derived from their infringement’.
