Question for written answer E-006489/12 to the Commission James Nicholson (ECR) (28 June 2012) Subject: Freshwater objectives The Commission claims that a ‘substantial proportion of Europe’s freshwaters are at risk of not achieving the objectives of the EU Water Framework Directive by 2015’ (34). The most up-to-date figures are from 2009 (35) and set out those freshwaters most at risk.
