Question for written answer E-007121/12 to the Commission Nuno Melo (PPE) (16 July 2012) Subject: Milk sector In the milk sector there is overproduction, and producer prices are low. According to the European Milk Board, producers are being paid EUR 0.25 per litre of milk, whereas production costs are in the region of EUR 0.40.
