Question for written answer E-007255/12 to the Commission David Martin (S&D) (18 July 2012) Subject: Kalydeco (ivacaftor) drug for treatment of cystic fibrosis On 24 May 2012 the European Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) issued a positive opinion by consensus recommending approval of Kalydeco (ivacaftor) for the treatment of people suffering from cystic fibrosis.
