Question for written answer E-007289/12 to the Commission Robert Rochefort (ALDE) (19 July 2012) Subject: Quality of diesel engine exhaust gases At a meeting of international experts on 12 June 2012, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) of the World Health Organisation (WHO) classified diesel engine exhaust gases as certainly carcinogenic (group 1 of the WHO classification).
