Question for written answer E-007405/12 to the Commission Ian Hudghton (Verts/ALE) (24 July 2012) Subject: EU progress towards minimum broadband coverage targets As part of the Digital Agenda for Europe’s 2020 target, the EU has set an initial target for broadband coverage to all EU citizens by 2013, with speeds reaching at least 2 Mbps in rural areas and higher speeds in other areas.
