Question for written answer E-007498/12 to the Commission David Martin (S&D) (27 July 2012) Subject: CITES — Namibian seal hunt The Commission will be aware of the annual seal cull in Namibia which began this month, with a target of clubbing 80 000 pups and 6 000 bulls. This is considered to be the second‐biggest seal cull in the world, after the Canadian cull.
