Question for written answer E-008345/12 to the Commission Ivo Belet (PPE) (24 September 2012) Subject: VAT on e-books On 3 July 2012 the Commission started infringement proceedings against Luxembourg and France because of their decision to set a reduced rate of VAT on electronic books, in breach of Directive 2006/112/EC.
