Tsoukalas (PPE) and Marina Yannakoudakis (ECR) (26 September 2012) Subject: Blindness and eyesight problems in Europe There are currently 30 million blind and partially sighted persons in Europe. Approximately 1 European in 30 experiences sight loss, and 75 % of partially sighted persons of working age are unemployed.
